Project Lily

April 15, 2010

This super easy art project comes after Easter (bummer) but uses the hand prints of your sweet little one to make cute Lily flowers (awesome).

Things you will need:
-a writing instrument
-a cutting instrument
-a straw
-a piece of paper
-tape

Depending on the age of your child, you can let them trace their own hand or you can help them with this.

Cut out the hand print and enjoy how adorable it is.

Tape one edge of the hand (pinky side may work best) to the straw and wrap it around and secure it with tape.

Use your pencil or pen to roll the edges of the fingers down to create your flower petals.

In retrospect I would have used "new" paper.  I had grabbed some scrap paper and didn't think about how we would see both sides, oh well:).

Have fun with it!
