Key Lime Pie – my favorite dessert

May 04, 2010

If you are looking for a dessert recipe that is quick, easy and super yummy have I got one for you!

4 ingredients + no cooking + great taste = Key Lime Pie

Ingredients for 1 pie:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup key lime juice (typically found in the juice isle by the lemon juice)
8 oz. of whipped topping
1 graham cracker crust

Note: Because this is so easy to make and lasts frozen for a while I went ahead and mixed up two pies (doubling the ingredients) when I made this recipe below.

1) Mix together (with a whisk or in a mixer) your key lime juice (1/2 cup) and your sweetened condensed milk (1 can).

2) Add your whipped topping (8 oz.) and mix until smooth.

3) Pour into your graham cracker crust.  Smooth out the top with a spatula and freeze.

4) You can enjoy your pie at anytime once it is frozen.  It is sweet with a touch of tang.  I love that you can make it ahead of time and just have it "on hand" OR because the ingredients are so simple you can just have them on hand and whip this up quickly if needed (as long as you allow for freezing time).

Enjoy!
