The cake, the dog and a smile

After yesterday’s failure in the kitchen, you would think I might just steer clear of baking for a little while to let the smoke clear. However, today was Ashlyn’s birthday and I wanted to try my hand at a homemade “healthier” cake (i.e. not a store bought cake or frosting).
All went well until our dog got involved. . .
More on that story tomorrow as I am beat and my bed is calling, but for now I wanted to leave you with a photo I took of Quinten today. Trust me, you can’t look at it without smiling, come on, I dare you to try! He has two new teeth just starting to come through his gums on the bottom, I am so glad he can smile like this even when he is teething!
