Get back into your jeans faster with HipSlimmer!
HipSlimmer is a post-pregnancy compression corset designed to help you return to your pre-pregnancy size.
Hormones released during pregnancy cause your hips to expand for childbirth. These hormones remain elevated after delivery leaving the joints of your hips malleable. HipSlimmer, when worn after pregnancy, applies pressure directly to your hips and may help your hips return to their pre-pregnancy size. Made in the USA.
How the HipSlimmer Works
- The Problem
Many women complain their hips are wider after pregnancy. Even once they return to their pre-pregnancy weight, they are still unable to fit into their jeans worn before pregnancy. This is no surprise since your body changes during pregnancy. - Changes During Pregnancy
Your pelvis is a unique system of bones and ligaments that shift and adapt as your baby grows. The pelvis is composed of four main bones. The symphysis pubis, a cartilage pad, holds together the two large hip bones in the front. The sacroiliac joints are found near the bottom of the back and form the joints between the sacrum and ilia of the pelvis. They make up the rear portion of the pelvic girdle.
During pregnancy, female hormones such as relaxin and progesterone are released. Relaxin, as its name applies, causes the body's connective tissue and joints to relax and loosen. In particular, the symphisis pubis and the sacroiliac joints widen which allows your pelvis to accommodate the enlarging uterus and eventual passage of your baby. These hormones do not return to their pre-pregnancy levels until after delivery, leaving your hips malleable. Many women complain that this widening leaves a lasting effect on their hips.

- The Solution
Your ligaments and joints associated with your hips and pelvis are maximally relaxed in or around the time of pregnancy. By capitalizing on this normal change associated with child bearing, HipSlimmer is used after pregnancy to apply pressure directly to your hips and may aid in return to their pre-pregnancy size.

The ideal time to wear the Hipslimmer is after you have recovered from your delivery and are not experiencing any pain. Do NOT wear the corset while pregnant.
Hipslimmer should be worn over comfortable clothing or undergarments for several hours a day during the first couple of months following delivery.
- Position the corset low on the hips
- Beginning at the 3rd eyelet from the bottom, lace the corset from the 3rd eyelet down to the bottom eyelet. Tighten and tie the lace. Note, this lace should tie at the bottom of the belt.
- Beginning at the third eyelet from the top (for the xs, s, and m, this will be the same eyelet used in step 2), lace the corset from the 3rd eyelet up to the top eyelet. Tighten and tie the lace. Note, this lace should tie at the top of the corset.
- Return to the bottom lace and re-tighten and tie.
- Likewise, re-tighten and tie the top lace.
- Continue this process until the corset is tight yet comfortable on the hips.
*It is important that the corset is low on your hips so that it will not ride up when seated.

Do I really wear it over my clothes?
Yes, you wear HipSlimmer over your clothes but not necessarily out on the town. You only need to wear HipSlimmer for a few hours a day; so, we suggest wearing it while you lounge around the house. It's ideal to wear HipSlimmer over comfortable fitted clothing such as yoga or stretch pants.
Do I buy the size I was before I got pregnant or the size I am while pregnant?
We recommend that you size HipSlimmer based off the pant size you typically wore just before you got pregnant. HipSlimmer was purposely designed to allow for a little wiggle room on the sizing. Having said that, if you have gained 50 pounds or more during pregnancy, you should consider going up to the next size.
What if I had a baby six months ago?
The prime window to wear HipSlimmer is during the first couple of months after you have had your baby. This is because the hormones that increase during pregnancy, which are responsible for the laxity of your hips and joints, do not return to their pre-pregnancy level until a couple of months after delivery.
I already had a child but didn't use HipSlimmer. Can I use it for my next pregnancy?
Most definitely yes. Many women have reported great success while using HipSlimmer after their first child. Your body will still produce the same hormones during pregnancy that allow your hips and joints to loosen and relax.
What if my labor was traumatic, and I still have stitches?
You absolutely need to wait until you have recovered and healed from labor. HipSlimmer will apply pressure to your hips, and not your abdomen, but you should wait until you have healed from any incisions. Don't rush it; you have a good two months to utilize the HipSlimmer.
