If I place an order today, when can I expect my shipment to arrive? TOP

Orders are processed everyday Monday-Friday (excluding holidays).  As soon as your order is processed, you will be emailed.  If there is any delay in processing your order you will also be emailed.  Orders that are placed over the weekend are typically processed by Wednesday.  Orders placed during the week are typically processed within 2 business days.  If you need your order right away it is best to call in your order (800.928.4905) and let us know, we will do what we can to accommodate you!

 

Please note that during the holidays actual shipping time  is often much longer due to a larger volume of mail going through the USPS mail system.

Can I place an order over the phone? TOP
Yes you can!  Simply call toll free 800.928.4905 between the hours of 6:30 AM and 12:30 PM PST Monday-Friday.  You can use any major credit card.

I live close to Athol, can I come and pick my order up directly? TOP
Yes, you are welcome to come pick up an order.  Please call to get directions, confirm that I have everything in stock (some items are shipped directly from their company) and to set up a time to come by.

What method of shipping do you use? TOP
Orders weighing under one pound are shipped via first class mail though the United States Postal Service (this usually takes 4-9 business days).  Over one pound are shipped Priority mail through the United States Postal Service (usually takes 2-3 business days).  Please keep in mind that we are located in ID.  If you live on the East Coast, in a very rural area, or outside of the continental US, your order delivery time may be longer.  Please also note that many of the items we carry are custom made and are shipped directly from the mom that makes them to save on shipping time.  If there is a processing time longer than 1-2 days for these items, this is noted at the top of the item description so that you can plan accordingly.  Your order may arrive in separate shipments if some of the items you ordered need to be sent directly from the mom that makes them.

Do you ship to APO addresses? TOP

Yes we do!  With the exception of a few products such as the Toddler Coddler since these are shipped directly from the manufacturer via UPS and they do not do APO shipments. We do our best to mark any products at the top of the listing if they are an exception.

Please note that first class shipping (which is often how our items ship for free) is much slower to APO addresses.  If you wish to have us ship via Priority mail, simply contact us and you can upgrade your shipping by paying the difference.

I need something shipped to an address other than my own, is this a problem? TOP
We are happy to ship to any US address that you like.  Simply specify the name and address that you want in the "shipping address" section during checkout.

What are your shipping prices? TOP
We offer FREE shipping anywhere within the US!  International orders are charged shipping.

International Locations:
If you live outside of the US we are happy to ship to you as well.  Simply proceed through checkout as normal and choose your location from the drop down box.  When your order is processed we will check the shipping price you were charged and if you were undercharged, send you an invoice for the remaining shipping costs.  If you decide the cost is too much, we will be happy to cancel your order and refund you in full.  International orders are shipped via USPS first class mail (typically 10-12 business days) unless shipping via USPS priority mail (typically 6-10 business days) is more cost effective.  Please keep in mind that these ship times are estimates and occasionally items get hung up in customs delaying delivery times.

Duties & Taxes for International orders: International orders may be subject to additional duties and taxes that are imposed by foreign governments. Mom 4 Life has no control over this.  When applicable, you will be required to pay these duties and taxes for your country at the time of delivery.  If you refuse or abandon your package, no refund will be issued.

Do you ship internationally? TOP

Yes we do!  If you live outside of the US and wish to order, please proceed through checkout as normal, choosing your country when asked to do so.  When we get your order we will weigh it and determine what the shipping price will be for your country.  We will then send you an invoice for any additional shipping charges that are above and beyond the US shipping charge that you already paid.  Canadian customers will not likely incur a much larger charge but international locations other than Canada may be significantly higher.  If you wish to cancel your order once you find out the total of the extra shipping charge, that is not a problem. 

PayPal Fees for International orders: Please be advised that if payment is made through PayPal and for any reason your order is cancelled and refunded "in full" that PayPal retains a fee for the exchange rate.

My International order has not arrived yet, when can I expect it? TOP
Most International orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.  You will be emailed as soon as your order has been processed.  Typically, Priority mail takes about 6-10 business days.  However, because items do occasionally get hung up in customs and become delayed, we like to wait at least a full month before we assume it is lost in the mail.  If your order still has not arrived one month after you were told it shipped, please contact us and we will find a suitable solution.

Why are so many of your products on sale? TOP
Simply put, we want to help you save money.  Sure we want to make money too, but we believe that both can be accomplished at the same time.  We can help each other.  It our hope that what we lose in profit when we mark the price down, we will make up for when you are pleased with your transaction and refer your friends and family to Mom 4 Life.  Our sale prices are usually our everyday low prices.  We choose to show you the suggested retail price as well as my price so that you can easily see the savings that you are getting.

If I order a gift certificate, how does that work? TOP
When you order a gift certificate, you specify the email address that you want me to send the gift certificate "voucher code" to.  This would typically be sent to the person you want to send the gift certificate to, but you could also send it to yourself and then personally send the code to the recipient.  If you would rather have the gift certificate mailed to you or your recipient, simply specify this in the "special requests" area during check out being sure to use your recipients address as the shipping address.  The gift certificate is marked with a special code that can be entered in during checkout in the "voucher" area which will automatically deduct the gift certificate amount from the total.

You carry a lot of baby carriers, how do I know which one is right for me? TOP
This can be a very daunting decision!  We would suggest starting out by reading this article written by Mom 4 Life owner, Heather Ledeboer and then visiting our sling comparison chart.  After that, if you still need some help, give us a call 800.928.4905!

My sling seems too big, how much will it shrink when I wash it? Should I just exchange it now or will you exchange it even once it has been washed?  TOP
The slings can actually shrink up to a few inches depending on the type of fabric (twill, denim, flannel or canvas).  We would advise washing it as directed and see how it fits.  If it is still too large you have two options:
1)  If you or someone you know can sew, you can easily take it in with a simple straight stitch.  Click Here for directions on how to take it in: (scroll toward the very bottom of the page).  
2) 
If, after washing, you still would like an exchange, please review my return/exchange policy for details.  It is not a problem to exchange your sling after it has been washed (just hold on to all the packaging and instructions to send back with your sling).  We always recommend trying to wash it first because we would hate for you exchange it for a smaller size only to have it be TOO SMALL once you wash it.  If you measured yourself and fall into the category of the current size sling you have we would recommend washing it first.  This almost always works and is just the right size afterward.

My baby does not seem happy in the sling, any suggestions? TOP
One thing to try is this: Take a hand towel and fold it up to a long rectangle shape and lay it in the sling first. Then put your baby in. Position the towel so that it is behind her head and back and propping her up more in the sling so that she can more easily see out at the world. Some babies really like to be able to have a look around and cannot do that being so deep in the pocket. You can try one towel at first and if needed try a second or so until she is propped up enough that you think it is a good amount. See if this makes any difference. Try it after she has had a nap and isn't hungry. Once you put her in the sling, walk around so that the movement of you walking can be calming to her. She may just need to get used to it and having the chance to look out at things will hopefully help. If you feel the sling is a good fit this is my main suggestion. New Native does make a pillow called the Infant Support Pillow (sold here) that will work much like your towels will, so if this takes care of the problem and you don't want to mess with towels this is an option for you as well. If this does not work don't give up. If you have a New Native sling try calling the toll free new native number and see if they have any other suggestions for you. (800) 646-1682. If you have another type of carrier you can contact that company directly or you can always give us a call. So many people LOVE their sling that we really encourage you to give all the options a good try before giving up, the work will really pay off if you are able to find a comfortable solution.

My baby seems to be rolled up in the sling and does not look comfortable, is this a problem? TOP
This may or may not be a problem depending on how your baby feels about being down in the fabric. Remember, being rolled up is a very natural position for a newborn. Fussy or colicky babies are often comforted by curling up in a ball and drawing their legs up to their abdomens. If you would like your baby to see out better here are some things you can do:
-Place your baby in the sling facing the opposite direction. This way your baby's face will not be covered by the fabric which goes over your shoulder.
-Pull up on the fabric on the inside of the baby sling (next to your body) to allow your baby to see out better.
-Put a blanket or towel under your baby so that he or she rides up higher.

My lilypadz are leaking, am I doing something wrong? TOP
 Because all nursing mothers have different levels of let down, there is some variability in the function of LilyPadz.  In most cases, women have had fantastic results and rave about LilyPadz because they are so liberating.  There has been, however, a very small population that experiences let-down with either more pressure or volume, who have in turn experienced either leakage or a "bubble" formation.  Please don't feel discouraged as there are a number of factors to look at in getting them to work properly for you.  So if you'll bear with us, here goes...
-LilyPadz, as you know, work based on pressure. Essentially, the pressure maintained by your LilyPadz must be greater than the pressure behind the let-down in order to suppress the leak completely.  Application comes in here...to maximize the pressure.
-Again, as you already know, the pressure that LilyPadz maintain is established during application. Mom applies the pressure and LilyPadz simply maintain it. Although you may be applying them properly we would like to quickly review.  In a nut shell, the nipple is compressed through your LilyPadz (in-side-out) and once the LilyPadz edges are smoothed out the tacky inner lining holds that pressure constant even in the absence of a bra. Many of our users with complaints have found that the initial flipping inside-out step leads to much greater success.  Gentle massaging while pressing the nipple may also help to achieve a smooth application without airspaces.  It may be that you are leaking more heavily than average. Heavier leakage and the associated leakage problems are often isolated and situation dependent.  Early on, milk is in abundance as is the case with missed feedings, also resulting in this need for greater pressure to stop the leak.  This increased pressure becomes generally unnecessary as milk supply equilibrates with time. After three months of nursing my milk finally began to calm down!  A snug undergarment or even pressure from your forearm on the opposite breast when feeding will often do the trick until you equilibrate.
-If you are indeed applying them properly and you feel the leakage is still not managed, they may just be allowing too much give.  In order to help with heavier leakers, LilyPadz have developed a new method of manufacture, creating LilyPadz with greater tack and a little less give.  As of September 2005 all LilyPadz sold on this site are this newer version.
-LilyPadz offer a great degree of comfort and freedom, so we would like to get them working for you.   What is of the utmost importance to us is your comfort.  We hate to see anyone unable to use LilyPadz or unhappy in any way, so we stand behind this product 100% and are proud to be able to offer the nursing mother a comfortable alternative to traditional nursing pads.

I am noticing that several mom invented items seem to be a bit costly, why? TOP
