Pregnancy, postpartum and nursing...a marathon...welcome to motherhood! Needless to say, our bodies go through a lot, especially our breasts and nipples. They deserve a bit of tender loving care and the Shower Hug™ provides it!
What are the benefits of wearing a Shower Hug™ ?
For use in the shower, the Shower Hug™ :

What type of fabric is the Shower Hug™ made of?
*The Shower Hug™ is made of the highest quality knit terry velour. It has a gentle stretch built-in, to provide you with bust-line support needed during pregnancy and after your little cherub has arrived. The fabric is super soft and will add comfort and luxury to every shower. Available in white with slate blue trim or white with petal pink trim.
*The Shower Hug has gone Green - Introducing the ORGANIC Shower Hug! Made from the softest 80% organic / 20% ecospun stretch terry with all the same great features of our standard Hugs. Available in natural beige color with sage trim.
How do I wear and adjust the Shower Hug™ ?
Simply wrap the Shower Hug™ around your bust and attach the Velcro® closure along the front midline of your chest. The Shower Hug™ should fit snuggly when dry. This will ensure adequate bust-line support and prevent sagging when wet.
How should I wash the Shower Hug™ ?
We recommend washing the Shower Hug™ in a gentle detergent free of dyes, perfumes and other additives that may irritate your tender skin or the tender skin of your little one as he or she snuggles close to your chest. After use, just wring out the excess water and toss it in with your next load of baby clothes. Care instructions can be found on the care label of each Shower Hug™.
Does the Shower Hug™ sag when wet?
No. Although the Shower Hug™ will become slightly heavier when wet, it will never sag or become uncomfortable to wear. The fabric is made of stretch terry and is perfectly suited for wet conditions!
What size Shower Hug™ should I order?
Locate your pre-pregnancy bra size in the left hand column on the chart below. The column to the right shows the proper size Shower Hug™ to purchase. If your bra size does not fall into one of the categories shown on our sizing chart, then go by the size sports bra you wore before you were pregnant. For example, if you typically wore a Small or Medium sports bra before you were pregnant, then order a S/M Shower Hug. If you typically wore a Medium or Large sports bra, then order a M/L Shower Hug. Bear in mind that each Shower Hug comes with a four inch Velcro® closure, so you will have room for expansion and contraction as your bust line changes over the course of pregnancy, childbirth and nursing.
I use the Shower Hug EVERY time I shower. What I like about it in addition to blocking my sore nips from the shower stream, is that it also protects them from getting soapy. I made that mistake in the hospital and the little guy wouldn't eat. I'm sure it tasted yucky! Just wanted to give you some feedback on an awesome product!!

I received the Shower Hug as a gift after having my son. He is my first, so breastfeeding was a new experience for me and I didn't realize how uncomfortable taking a shower was going to be. I am not a Mother and no, I am not pregnant. But, I am a large-chested woman that faces painful and tender to the touch breasts once a month. I thought the Shower Hug might provide me some relief from wearing a bra all day and it was the perfect remedy. During “that time", I immediately come home and change into my Shower Hug. I wear it at home and sometimes through the night. The material is so soft, and it gives them the support I need from a bra without the painful straps and underwires. I know this might not be what you were thinking when you developed this thoughtful product, but I wanted to let you know that there may be other woman like me who could benefit just the same. The Shower Hug gave me my showers back. Before the Shower Hug, I had to run the water at half pressure to be able to stand the water hitting my chest area during pregnancy. Even then, it was uncomfortable, and I needed patience to get the shampoo out of my hair. Andria Sgro’s life and dreams changed forever when she learned she was pregnant with her first son. Andria, who once enthusiastically worked as a CPA, quickly forgot about the world of numbers and analytics with one glance at her little one. Never was she so fulfilled or content than in her new role as Mama.
It was in her new role as stay-at-home Mom that she conceived the idea for the Shower Hug. “The idea struck me when I was struggling to comfortably shower in the early days of motherhood and breastfeeding. My breasts were so engorged and tender, and my nipples were cracked and bleeding. The force of the shower sprays hitting my chest was just too painful to tolerate. My solution at the time was to hold a heavy towel over my chest with one hand, while I shampooed, conditioned, soaped and shaved with the other. I had looked forward to the solitude of a long, hot shower all day, but as soon as I stepped in, I was hurrying to get out.”
Andria founded Belmama & Cherub and began production of the Shower Hug in 2006, just one day after her son’s first birthday. She treasures each day, knowing life’s most beautiful gifts are beside her in her husband and children. “As a stay-at-home enterprising Mom, work gets done at the strangest hours, but I love working on ‘mommy-care’ products.
