"I will be the first to admit that I have WAY more baby blankets than I need, so I was skeptical that I would be very impressed by this one. However, this blanket quickly became one of our favorites. I use it all the time for a play time/tummy time blanket and I found the size to be perfect for swaddling. Most blankets are just to thick or not large enough to swaddle well. This blanket was large enough that it could easily be wrapped around my baby a few times and still not be too bulky or hot. If I don't happen to have my Hooter Hider nursing cover with me, I also can use it as a quick nursing cover--it is great at multi-tasking. We get compliments on it all the time.

My name is Lynette Damir and I am the founder of SwaddleDesigns. I am an RN and mother of two young children. My inspiration for Swaddle Designs came from many sources: the love of my mom as she carefully wrapped my children in blankets she had sewn for me, the knowledge of many wonderful reasons why swaddling is important, and the discovery that many of my friends and family did not know how to swaddle effectively, couldn't remember how to swaddle, or didn't have the right kind of blanket to bundle their babies.
When I shopped for blankets for my friends and family, I wasn't satisfied; the blankets were too small, not the right shape, not the right material, too fancy, too slippery or too thick. And when I helped my friends by swaddling their newborns, they would say, "Oh, show me that again!" or "I can never remember how to do that." The idea to design the Ultimate Swaddling Blanket was born.
My design philosophy is to create stylish, attractive and functional products. I was inspired to create beautiful, multi-use blankets optimized for effective swaddling. My blanket includes our exclusive 123 Swaddle Tip Tag which will help parents master the art of swaddling. Much research has gone into the development of this blanket including consultations with PhDs in infant research. Everything has been done with passion and care. Each component of my blanket has been carefully selected for its color, texture, durability and beauty. I hope my blanket will become a favorite for parents and their babies.
