Jackaboo BabySit Safety Harness

The BabySit is a one-size-fits-most toddlers (10 months to 3 years) baby safety harness. The convertible belt and loop design keeps toddlers securely seated in just about any style of high chair, booster seat, shopping cart, etc. The BabySit slips on and off easily and is so soft that you can put it on your child before leaving home (one less thing in your diaper bag!). The BabySit will not interfere with the straps on a car seat or stroller.

The Buckle: The BabySit has a unique, sleek buckle that closes with a “t-lock.” To open the buckle, grasp it between your thumb and index finger and gently squeeze together. To close the buckle, place the top piece (larger one) over the bottom piece (smaller) and gently pull apart to secure. Make sure the bottom piece is right side up – the buckle will not close if it is upside down!

Adjusting Strap Length: Hold the strap on the adjustable side of the buckle, perpendicular to the buckle so that the strap can slide easily through the buckle. Pull on the “free” end of the strap to shorten the belt; pull on the other to lengthen the belt.

Placing Harness on Child: Pull apart Velcro closure. The widest part goes in the front; the Velcro closure goes in back. Adjust the size by overlapping the Velcro pieces. Make sure the harness fits snuggly (but not tightly!) around your child’s chest and waist. You should be able to easily slide your hand between the harness and your child’s chest.

Wrap Around Frame: Place harness on child, run belt through both belt loops, wrap each end of the belt around the frame of the chair or shopping cart and bring buckle together in front of child. Secure buckle and adjust strap length.

Behind Chair Back: Place harness on child, run belt through both belt loops, bring buckle ends behind the chair (or seat) back. Secure buckle and adjust strap length.

Loop Under Seat: Place harness on child, run belt through both belt loops, bring buckle ends under the seat of the high chair. Secure buckle and adjust strap length. This configuration should only be used with a high chair that has a tray securely attached to the chair. This configuration is designed to prevent a child from standing in their high chair.

Walking Tether: Place harness on child. Extend belt to full length. Secure “top” end of buckle to the “bottom” end located on the back of the harness. Loop on “free” end of strap provides hand hold for parent.
