From work to home to play, the Bravado Lifestyle Microfiber Nursing Bra complements whatever activities your day may bring.
Moms like Jennifer Garner are already enjoying the benefits, since this attractive bra offers truly amazing shape, support and breathability with the high level of comfort Bravado is known for.
When it comes to comfort and shape, Bravado's designers were determined to offer the best of both worlds. The Lifestyle Microfiber Nursing Bra features an innovative cup lining called Bravado CottonFlex, a revolutionary double-sided fabric that gives you the comfort of cotton on one side and the benefits of polyester/spandex on the other. The result is 100% cotton directly against your skin, giving comfort and breathability, without sacrificing flexibility, support and shape. All this coupled with the silky smoothness of microfiber on the outside of the cup makes for a perfect fit!
- Low neckline and superior fit with molded cups that give an incredibly smooth, seamless shape which is flattering under tops and dresses
- Bravado CottonFlex lining offers better support than the average 2-layer microfiber bras on the market today
- No underwire, as recommended by health care professionals
- Neckline and straps feature delicate, feminine lace that is soft to the skin
- Adjustable, softly padded shoulder straps that stay in place and offer continuous support
- Nursing flaps open for full breast access
- 4 columns of hooks and eyes on back for increased adjustment
- Sizes 34E, 36D-E, 38C-E and 40B-D have 3 rows of hooks and eyes for increased support (all other sizes feature 2 rows of hooks and eyes)

What's My Bra Size?
Before you start:
- Make sure you are wearing an unpadded bra that is not a compression or a sports bra.
- Stand straight and relaxed, with your arms down, and breathe normally.
- If you can, ask someone to help you measure.
- If you’re doing this solo, measure yourself in front of a mirror.
Write down the following measurements…
- Chest — First measure around your chest. Place the measuring tape around yourself and position it right under your arm pits. Make sure that the measuring tape is above your breast tissue in the front, and running parallel to the floor in the back. Pull snug. Write down this measurement in inches.
- Bust — Measure across the fullest part of your breasts, right across the nipples. Place the measuring tape around your breasts. This is a loose measurement. Hint: Look in the mirror. Your breasts should fall at the centre point between your elbow and shoulder.

Finding your size:
- Determine your band size: Take your chest measurement. If you have an odd number, round it up or down to the nearest even number (for example, 33.5 rounds up to 34, where 32.5 would round down to 32). This is your band size.
- Determine your cup size: Subtract your band size from your bust measurement and this is your cup size. Apply your cup size to the chart below. Hint: each inch is equivalent to one cup size, so you can count up (1=A, 2=B, 3=C and so on).
| Difference (in inches) between band size and bust |
Cup Size |
| 1 | A |
| 2 | B |
| 3 | C |
| 4 | D |
| 5 | E (DD) |
| 6 | F (DDD) |
| 7 | G |
| 8 | H |
| 9 | I |
| 10 | J |
| 11 | K |
Example:
If you’re measurements were:
- 35.2 Chest, and
- 40 Bust
- Determine your band size: by taking the chest measurement (if it’s an odd number you round up or down to the closest even number), therefore your band size would be: 36.
- Determine your cup size: subtract your band size from your bust, and count every inch difference as a cup size: 40-36 = 4, therefore you’d be a D cup.
- Determine your bra size: Your bra size should be a 36D.

Q: How will my breasts will change?
A: Congratulations, you are pregnant…
As you may already know, one of the earliest physical signs of pregnancy is breast tenderness. At some point in your pregnancy, often but not always around the second month, your breasts will become larger as they prepare to nurse your newborn. Some women experience this as a feeling of fullness rather than an actual increase in size, while others know right away they need a larger cup size. Most women will increase two cup sizes over the course of their pregnancy, while others increase during their first trimester and not again until near the end of their pregnancy. Plus, as your belly blooms in size, your rib cage, or band, measurement will also likely increase. Hint: Women who are petite or carry high will often experience more increase in rib band than those who are taller or carry low.
Overall, most women increase 1 or 2 cup sizes and 1 or 2 rib band sizes during their pregnancy.
First few days after giving birth…
For the first few days after giving birth, when you breastfeed, your baby receives colostrum. Around the third day, your milk will come in. At that point, you can experience an increase of 1 or 2 more cup sizes from your third trimester. Remember to relax. Hint: the size of your breasts (big or small) is not related to milk supply.
After six weeks of nursing…
Typically, after about 6 weeks to a few months of nursing, these fluctuations settle down. You’ll have established your breastfeeding relationship and routine, and you’ll probably reduce a few cup sizes. As well, around this point, your rib band will begin to reduce in size. Hint: it is normal for your body to hold onto those extra pounds while nursing, so don’t fret. Celebrate your new shape, and feel confident you are providing the best nutrition for your baby.
This is the size you’ll likely stay until you finish breastfeeding—somewhere between your pre- pregnancy and pregnancy rib band size, and up 1 cup size.

Our first prototype bra was worn for 48 hours straight and boasted leopard print fabric! Finally...a nursing bra that didn't look like something your grandmother wore!
Alas, a great product does not a company make. We realized that early success would depend on getting the word out to midwives, childbirth educators and lactation consultants that there was a new nursing bra to rave about - comfortable, stylish and affordable. Their response was overwhelmingly positive.
And voila! Bravado! Designs was born as a home-based business in 1992, the brainchild of two young mothers. Our first bra was launched in 3 sizes and 2 colors. In a short time we outgrew the kitchen table and now we offer our Original Nursing Bra in 12 sizes and 6 colors, the Supreme Nursing Bra for fuller-breasted women, the Lifestyle Microfiber Nursing Bra to take you from work to home to play, and the Essential Nursing Bra Tank which is fabulous - inside and out; amazing underwear and a revolutionary breast pad. Today, Bravado! bras are worn and loved by moms worldwide, including celebrity moms like Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Garner and Britney Spears. Although we continue to grow, our philosophy remains the same as it was all those years ago: to strive, above all else, to bolster and enhance a mother’s self-image during the triumphant, yet challenging time of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It has been quite a journey and the trip has only just begun ... Bravado! hopes you enjoy all we have to offer.
