The Moby Wrap = Free handed comfort

August 03, 2010

Moby Wrap oh Moby Wrap, how I love you.  Let me count the ways:

1. Your one size fits all design fits me every time
2. You support my baby so well I can hold him longer
3. You are so soft and comfortable
4. You give my back great support
5. You come in lots of great color options
6. I can wear you in lots of different ways
7. You are machine washable
8. You have matching BabyLegs

Let me begin by saying that I like all of the baby carriers that we offer and find that each one is just perfect for different situations.  In fact we have a sling comparison chart on our site to try to help you find the baby carrier that will be just right for you.

The Moby Wrap is my go-to baby carrier for times that I know I will be holding Quinten longer (such as a trip to the mall or theme park).  Because it goes over both shoulders and wraps around my lower back, it is super supportive and does a great job at fully distributing the weight.  It is also ideal if I am going to be exercising while holding Quinten or if I am going to be doing any activity that fully requires two completely free hands.  The one size fits all design allows other family members to easily use it as well.

Here is my little Moby Wrap photo gallery:

Below I am wearing Ashlyn in my first Moby Wrap.  Please don’t look too closely at the photo though, just take my word for it.  If you look too closely, you will think that I am stuck up with my nose in the air as Hunter tries to make a quick bolt off the dock.  Apparently the “hands free” feature of this carrier could be used for rescuing your child from the lake if you don’t bother to hold their hand. . .

This next photo was taken when Quinten was just a little pea pod and our family went off into the woods to get fire wood.  I wanted to go along so that my husband wouldn’t be going alone (not really a safe  plan when chainsaws and trees are involved).  You can guess how helpful I was.  I even managed to inadvertently injure him with the truck while I “helped”.  In retrospect I realized he would have been safer if he would have gone alone.  BUT then we wouldn’t have these super cool back-woods photos so it was all worth it in the end.

Below I am wearing my Indigo color Moby Wrap as Ashlyn and worked out to our Fit + Giggles Postnatal DVD.

When Hunter had a field trip to a local Pumpkin Patch for school, I grabbed my Moby (in my all time favorite color, Slate).

When the kids wanted to go play outside in the spring, I grabbed my Moby.

As you can see, I use my Moby Wrap a lot.

How about you?  What is your favorite baby carrier and why?

P.S. The pink colored Moby Wrap in the first photo is actually a Moby D carrier.  The Moby D Baby Carrier by Moby Wrap has the same comfort as the original, but with a special central fabric panel (in this case a pink fleece).  This specific pink/rose color is no longer available.  Because it is pink, I don’t wear it as freely with Quinten as I did with Ashlyn.  Do you want it?  The original price was about $60 but I would be happy to sell it for $35.00 (with free shipping).  It is in great condition. If you want it, leave a comment here and I will contact you for payment details. It has been sold:)!

Mom 4 Life. Now that Ashley owns Mom 4 Life, I am focusing my energies in homeschooling and asking God to use me in other areas.
